BEING WELL

To take on life's challenges we need to look after ourselves - inside and out.

Take care of your body. It's the only place you have to live.

Rest + Sleep

Eat the good stuff

Eat the good stuff

You need to sleep well to be well. Sleep gives your body a rest. Your mind uses sleep to adjust to your experiences and reset. Most people need 7-8 hours of sleep.

Small moments of quiet rest are a great way to recharge but cannot replace a good sleep.

Get active

Being physically active is great for the body and mind. Start tiny and find things that you like so you want to keep doing them. Do activities with a friend or in groups if that helps you. Book time in for you each day to do a healthy activity that works for you.

A 50 sec prompt from www.wellbeings.org/dont-forget-to-breat

Don’t forget to breathe….

Breathing deeply is simple and can make you feel better when things are hard. Nurture yourself now by starting at your lungs.

Find a place sit comfortably. Feet grounded on the floor if possible.

  1. BREATHE IN slowly through your nose… fill your lungs
  2. Then BREATHE OUT slowly and gently through your lips.
  3. Pause. REPEAT.
